Privacy notice

Housing Heat Map (housingheatmap.com) is a free, read-only website that shows county-level home value data. This notice describes what happens to information when you visit it.

No accounts, forms or cookies of our own

The site has no user accounts, sign-up forms, newsletters, comments or payments. We do not set cookies and do not use advertising or cross-site tracking. Searches, filters and map selections run in your browser and are not stored by us.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure page performance. It does not use cookies or local storage. It records information such as the page visited, the referring page, browser and device type, country, and load timings. We see only aggregated statistics, not individual visitor profiles.

Hosting and security logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. When you request a page, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, the time, the URL requested and your browser's user agent in order to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Fonts

Page text uses Google Fonts, so your browser requests font files from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser information. See Google's privacy policy.

Data sources

The housing data shown comes from Zillow Research (Zillow Home Value Index) and the U.S. Census Bureau. It describes counties, not individual people or properties, and no personal information about visitors is shared with these sources.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent visitor information and do not use it for advertising.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we add features such as accounts, saved watchlists or email alerts, we will update this notice before they launch and change the date above.
